Mr. Emmanuel Asante-Krobea, is the National Director for the Directorate of Crop Services for Ministry of Food and Agriculture since 2011. He joined the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and worked in several Districts as the as District Agricultural Director from 1988 and became Regional Director of Agriculture for Brong Ahafo Region in 2007.
Asante–Krobea started his working career with the Ghana Education Service, where he became the first Headmaster of the Chiraa Community Secondary School, which he helped establish in 1982 during his National Service. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Agricultural Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Accra, and a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Crop Production and Livestock Systems Management from University of Ibadan Nigeria and University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.
He has served as a steering committee member of several projects, and served on several councils and boards. He is currently a member of the CSIR Council, the National Seed Council, the National Fertilizer Council, and the Coordinator of the National Seed and Fertilizer subsidy Programme.
